This free proyect created by the Sintesys Animation School (Softimage ATC - Spain) contains a video tutorial and a database with 101 Softimage XSI scripts and scenes for 3D digital creatures and characters.
The scenes contain many types of creatures and behaviours:
Walking Spiders, breathing, blinking, A* pathfinding algorithm used in most videogames, bat wings, dogs, fishes, jumping rabbits, "darts" technique for eye movement, worms, octopus, chamaleons, frogs, humans... up to 101 scenes programmed by the two main methods Softimage XSI has: Scripts and expresions so you can compare effectivity and workflow. Scene studies contains use of deformers, shape animation and even examples with the FXtree.
Sintesys provides this material as initial step of a serie of results of a study in artificial inteligence for digital creatures we are into.
