It is animatable, check the manual
there is two kinds of offset...

one will create fcurves for the effect that start in Zero
so you put values that you want to add or substract from your original animation.

Yes I know. You just offset and that’s it. If the offset was animatable it would be great, but that’s not there yet.

you can offset pretty much whatever you want.

    Hey ATR,

I did that, it’s the rotation of the feet that’s creating
penetrations to the ground. Currently I’m manually fixing it, it’d
be much faster to automate the process.

    Kim,

Reposition in the Animation Mixer wouldn’t work. Setting the
offsets will just offset the animation but not the actual
    rotations of the feet penetration.

I have in the past put an expression with a conditional on the global Y

of the foot, so that it won't go further than the ground plane. (or a

placeholder, or an animated parameter in a custom pset.)

This works because the animation is on the local y (I hope...)

if that sounds like something to try, lemme know and I'll show you how.

Hey Guys,

Would any of you have any suggestions or techniques to approach grounding the

foot to the ground? I have some mocap data, and I need to set the feet to

plant on the ground when the foot is contacting it. With mocap data/fk, the

penetration problem is there but how can I fix this? Any ideas or

suggestions?
