You can try this:

1. Select the points at X = 0 and create a cluster.
2. In Shape Modeling mode, scale the cluster to 0 in X.
3. If there's already shape animation, drag the MoveComponent operator below the Cluster Shape Combiner.
4. Switch back to Modeling mode and make all your modifications.

Subject: disabling points

Hello List,

I would like to some day create some tool that would prevent the points of a
mesh that are in posx=0 to move at all.
When i create an instanced model to work in a head model for instance, i
dont want the middle points to move so i dont open holes when im rescaling
the head or using proportional moves.
Also, id like the tool, when activated to inspect newly created points and
if there is any new points in posx0 then lock them up as well......

So, my question is:

Is there a way to lock points of a mesh down?

I am probably way off the right track for such a tool but i have to keep
trying lol

thanks a lot guys

Mario
