Subject : OT: minor, and hugely dumb panic

Don't ask how but I've lost the power supply to my Dell XPS2. only another 60 minutes or so 'till the world comes to an end. Dell, in their wisdom, use a power connector into the XPS that's only slightly larger than an egg-cup and it seems to be completely unknown to any supplier this side of anywhere. I've a PSU from Sony that's the right voltage but I can't find an adaptor to make it fit. If anyone has any thoughts that might help me out in (checks watch) less than 58:50, I'd be indebted.
