Almost went with the X2 myself in the new system, the thing that really 
dragged me away was the price.  I picked up a Pentium D 3.0 for about 
half the price of a 4400 and I gotta say, having the 2 physical 
processors and the 2 virtual HT's is phenomenal.  Nothing fancy on the 
specs, the 3.0 with 2gb of DDR2 533 and a 6600GT 256MB. 

I'd be interested to hear more about the X2's though if anyone has anything.
