Hi All,

I'm caching particles in a plugin to a file on disk and using
EvaluateAt to get the cloud at the different times.

I go through the frames sequentially but at each one it runs the
calculation through from the start. So my question is - is it really
running it through from the start? Or is it just doing it for the
frames is hasn't calculated already. I've tried upping the number of
particles going out in an effort to make it obscenely slow when it
calculates a new frame, but I still can't really tell.

If it is would I see a speed improvement if I used the play control or
would the overhead of shifting everything in the scene and gui counter
any advantage that might have had?

Cheers,

Alan.
