yeah its dumping XSI i get the "successfully saved scene blah blah blah" error and then it locks up. i actually have to logout and log in to even get xsi to run again.
like you said it only happens intermittently but it is driving me nuts. i have to save everytime i want to open the damned animation editor.

Do you mean that XSI completely bombs out?

Yes, I have a GeForce GO 6800 Ultra and I have experienced the same
problem, though it seems to be intermittent and scene specific.

Frustrating as hell. Must be a driver issue. I also found that doing
captures will often lock up XSI, so I have resorted to rendering to
Opengl instead. Otherwise, the card is superb performance wise.

Subject: Laptop Graphics Card crash problem

Hey guys,

I have a laptop with an nVidia GeForce GO 6800 card on it and I keep having the damndest problem. I will be working
fine and then I go to open the animation editor and the system crashes. I am running 4.2 (FND) on the laptop with WinXP Pro SP2
and the driver is 7.6.5.0. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem or has a driver version recommendation that is working
well. Thanks.

Bob
