I don't know how much whining you guys saw before 3Democracy, but now 
that Softimage has made XSI available to the masses, I'm afraid that 
this whining will drone on...  XSI drew a lot of people from programs 
like truespace, carrera, poser, etc, and I can tell you that whining was 
a way of life for them there. 

The same people that complained that the advanced rigs and Texture Layer 
Editor weren't included in Foundation are now complaining because it 
costs money to upgrade to the next version (which now includes those two 
items).

I don't think that the whiners consider the fact that Softimage probably 
didn't have to re-license Mental Ray for a .2 upgrade, but probably had 
to for the 3.3 to 3.4 upgrade.  That can't be cheap, and Softimage can't 
be making much on Foundation in the first place.  So let me thank 
Softimage for making this tool available to us at such a low price!
