Kim,
yes but here, in Quebec, they're more expensive than an XSI license
(foundation of course)! :)
Just kiding!

You can get usb/serial converters fairly easily Niko, but they're a bit
clunky.

Joey,
I've got an M4 running XSI (1.5GB RAM, 1.86Ghz, Geforce6600
128MB). It's running XSI fine. No glitches or anything. But
it's slower to start the
laptop than my old Dell Inspiron 8600 (with a 1.7Ghz, 1.5GB
RAM and Geforce5650 128MB) due to all the "tablet" services
that WinXP needs.
When it's started, it's about the same speed though.
If you're into Photoshop, you'll find the tablet to be
lagging compared to normal Wacom Intuos which is sad but
you'll be amazed by Alias's Sketchbook Pro2 (the best 99$
you'll invest with this tablet!).
Just a little quirk, that laptop does not have a COM port so
you'll have to make sure you're either connected to a license
server or have a USB dongle to run XSI.

I'm interested in folk's opinions on this as well, but I'd
also like
to know if anyone has any comments on a convertible Laptop/Tablet
which they have found useful. Toshiba's M4 seems real nice
and highly
configurable, but pricy compared to other laptops with similar
features exluding tablet. There are several smaller models
from HP and
Toshiba which are half the price which will handle 2D apps quite
nicely, but no guarantee how 3D apps might work on them. Any
recommendations would be welcome.
