i am not sure, this is what you asked, but:

 

you have to select the points together with the object you want to pin them to.

you can only do that from an explorer, not from a viewport..

select the points, and with shift or control pressed, select the pin-to object in the explorer, then hit <set pin> in  the syflex menu...

Anyone managed to get the "get nail" and "set nail" to work? I'm getting nowhere with it. Select the nail cluster and hit getnail is fine I then select and deselect verts at random - hit setnail and I get "Unexpected error". The docs aren't exactly over worked so I'm stumped (unless it just doesn't work!)
