The most recent thing I've heard from sales/marketing was mid to late
September...
Everyone should remember that any perceived date or communicated part of
the month is all part of someone's "expectation management" plan,
because there are so many variables that make up a release date,
predicting a release date is like predicting the weather four weeks out.
The human reality is, if they say the 12th and it's the 20th, everyone
is annoyed. If they say the 30th and it's the 20th, everyone is happy.
If you were in charge, what would you choose? :-)
