Hey,
Two things:
1. With the proliferation of firewire\usb2 drives that are coming and
going around my office, Windows is almost always searching for drives
that have been detached. Almost every package keeps a list of previous
files and some even seem to lag while it tries to find those files.
With us, it's not flipbook, but the Quicktime player. If I open a movie
from my firewire drive with QT, then unplug it, from that point on
Quicktime hangs the computer up.
2. We have gigabit hubs, but not all the cables are cat6. As more and
more cables have been replaced, I've had far fewer problems (long lags)
accessing our NAS and other workstations.
These things are obvious, but still seems to occur everyday around my
office.
Good luck
-Todd

Subject: Eternal flipbook
Hello,
When using the flipbook, for me and most of the folks here, when we
click on the (...) button to browse on disk, it can take from 30
seconds to several minutes (some reported 10) before we actually get
the file browser. As I write this, I have been waiting for over 3
minutes now.
Some may point at the number of projects, but I only keep the
XSI_SAMPLE project in my list of project.
On some other times, the file browser loads right away.
Any idea?
Cheers
Bernard
