Just often, though I can reproduce it by doing rather heavy dotXSI exports, which might be comparable to your rendering issues. So this seems to be a common phenomenon then...

got a 64bit machine for rendering only.
XSI freezes after every single render and keeps using 1 CPU at full %.

I was gonna say that winxp64bit is not certified, but just checked on the
site and it is!

does the freezing happen systematically or just often?
