I did not understand what a Pelt Map was until I read someone question on "what is a pelt map". All I can say is that is pretty incredible compare to UV ways we have now, not that by far there not good no way there excellent but having this added to the arsonal in XSI. If someone can program this I have no words but "wow".

pelt mapping has been around for a lot longer.
not surprisingly skinning a real deer and stretching its pelt out is also farily close to the the best way to pick edges and UVpelt a 3d deer if they stay on all fours.
