I'm saying don't load old scenes with resize nodes and expect the behaviour to change, try it with a new scene, I don't think backward compatibility requires explanation.

Apparently it does because you didn't do it right. Supporting something that's broken from the past should be an option which can be chosen, not forced onto the user as gospel.
A couple years ago while I was still beta testing XSI, I reported a bunch of bugs related to the crop and resize nodes. You said they'd be fixed at the time. Knowing I'd need those scenes in the future, I planned ahead by setting up the FXTree properly so that when the bugs got fixed, the scenes would automatically inherit the bug fixes and just 'work'. However, under this 'legacy' support you've implemented, you've now invalidated all my scenes because if I bring them into a current version of XSI, they still won't work properly because of all the retro intentional breakage forced upon them. How does that help? Basically you're telling me that even though I did the right thing by planning ahead, I still have to rebuild my scenes from scratch to get proper functionality. Gee, thanks.
