yes, unfortunately, restarting the license server is not enough here.

are you sure you really need to pull the dongle in and out? I've only had to restart the license server. In fact the lictools panel only starts the license service so you should be able to do it quicker with a batch file with the line:
 
net start spmd
 
stick it on your desktop and double click when you come out of hibernate.

Everytime my laptop hibernate it looses contact with the dongle and XSI dies.
 
It's easy to fix, I unplug/replug the dongle and restart the server. But thanks to windows start bar memory I noticed Lictools is now my most often used program. I thought maybe I should do something about it...
 
Anybody knows how to keep contact with a USB dongle through hibernation?
