Patience Brad! ;) We definetly need a new particle engine with a VERY
GOOD caching system. (with things like append to cache, start from
cached frame n etc. etc...)
I believe Maya fluids have a pretty good caching system. It's been a
while since I have used them but I remember not having problems doing
whatever I wanted with them.

I am in an utopic world...I know you probably need this right f* now or
else you wouldn't ask! ;)

Is it supposed to be able to render anything?

I'm in one of those situations where XSI wants to re-cache my particle
sim every time I load the scene, and I'm looking for workarounds.

Why can't we just have options for write cache/read cache on our sims?
