Hey Wayne..

apon reading your email..I fired up XSI and tried for myself.. here is what I found..

I made a sphere and a cube and gave them a UV and cubic mapping co-ordinates respectively.. (I also gave them each a seperate texture)

With both selected, I brought up the texture editor, and indeed.. both the sphere and cube were there (however, the texture in the viewport temporarily had the cube texture applied to both the cube and sphere).. I set my texture editor selection to polygvon and island and managed to select the sphere polygons and set them aside (I find that you have to fight with the poly - island selection to get the mesh you want. You might have to click and drag alittle to get the island you want).

Once I pressed spacebar to deselect all my objects, the textures of the objects in the viewports returned to normal again (with updated co-ordinates).

I dont know if this helps.. but it does seem like its possible..

Cheers,

Norm (NRG) Olsen

Subject: Translate multiple uv's in editor

Having the ability for multiple objects uv's in the editor at
one time is a fantastic addition to the uv toolset/workflow. However,
I've run into a bit of a snag.
From the What's new section of the docs, "When multiple UV
coordinate sets are displayed, only one of them is editable at any given
time."
Will there ever be an option to select all uv's and translate
them all at the same time? I have laid out my uv's....and now I want to
select a few different objects uv's and move them all in one go but
can't since only one set can be active at a time. Is what I'm asking for
even possible in other programs? Thanks.
