Wayne,
The lag might be caused by Preferences -> Rendering -> Reload Externally
Modified Image Clips On Focus.
This preference causes XSI to look for image clips that have changed
whenever you switch to another application and back. It is useful when
working with say Photoshop and XSI at the same time.

Subject: Weird bonking sound
When I alt+tab from one window back into XSI there be a slight lag. If I
press and hold my s button to navigate during this lag...after the lag
delay has ended I will get the windows audio sound you get like when you
hit backspace in a blank mail document every time I hold the S key.
Running all certified everything, no weird drivers etc. xsi|32bit with
win|32 bit etc etc. Anyone else?
