You have 4 satellites per product.

When you purchased an advanced XSI license it will also come with a batch license.

The Advanced and the Batch can each render on 2 CPU for a total of 4.
The Advanced and the Batch can each have 4 satellites for a total of 8.

These 4 satellites per product are not transferable. If you don't use the satellites from the Batch license, you can't transfert them to be used with the Advanced license.

So here's a scenario where you use all capabilities (12 CPU).

you have 6 Dual CPU computer. They are divided in 2 master slaves setup.

1 dual cpu computer using XSI Advanced and being the master of 2 dual cpu computers being slaves, running satellites (for a total of 6CPU)
1 dual cpu computer using XSI Batch and being the master of 2 dual cpu computers being slaves, running satellites (for a total of 6CPU)

Hope this helps.

can you clarify?

website says Advanced has:
a.. 4-CPU mental ray® v.3.4 Rendering
a.. 8-node Satellite Rendering

Daniel mentioned the mi-raysatxsi5_0, which is the satellite service I
suppose?
so it should allow for 8 cpu's no?
