I am trying to keep it simple. no crazy features,
just straight
spring based pelting. everything else if just more
complicated,
and, well, commercial.
I really like the headus stuff - I think they
pushed it to the limit
in comparison to nearly all I've seen so far. Just
some proprietary
software pushes it further....
Again - let's try to do in inside of XSI - so we
don't have to use
the task manager too often... ;-)

if you've seen Headus's upcoming uv pelting app, might be worth checking out
to get some ideas if you want to push this baby even further.
The two clips on the page a really impressive.
Someone is also working on a pelt script for maya. He doesnt really show
how it works, just the actual pelt unwrapping itself in action.
