Perhaps it's just me, but this installation feels a lot slower than
before. Which is a bit of a pain when you are upgrading a farm. And
also, since this is a upgrade shouldn't the new folder be called the
version number it is?
ex:
C:\Softimage\XSI_5.0.1\
just a thought.... because if something is broken in 5.0.1 that wasn't
broken in 5.0 you can't really go back.
as I said, just a thought.
