I don't think so. We're talking about codecs that come along with the
default Windows installation, like the Cinepak one. That stuff is
accessable and usable through other software, it looks like XSI is
sorting them out for some strange reason...

I just noticed that the list of available AVI codecs in the
Viewport Capture dialogue has decreased to only four in v5.0,
which are all not suitable for my needs. Starting XSI 4.2, I
get the complete list of all codecs installed on the machine,
so it doesn't seem to be a Windows-related problem. Anyone
else experience something similar?
Running XSI 64bit, btw...
