I have a great bunch of problems getting anything to work with the
dotXSI exporter, for example. Unfortunately this is a vital part of our
toolchain. When it comes to exporting bone animation, I can break the
dotXSI 5 exporter with a simple cylinder and the animation plotting of
the old 3.5 / 3.6 exporters is completely broken in the 64bit version.
That kind of hazzle, the system is ok, it's XSI having problems. Btw, a
little oddity, these things *worked* flawless with the 32bit version of
XSI 4.2 running on the 64bit system...

I wouldn't use shaky to describe what you're seeing but there are still some
plugins and the like that aren't 64 bit compiled. It's not an XSI thing.

Ok, I just tried the setup on one of our 32bit installations
and that one behaves just fine. So, modifying my initial
question, since I experience quite a few minor but still
uncomfortable issues like this one using the 64bit version of
XSI, is it just me or does the 64bit version feel a bit shaky
at other places as well?
Greetings

Hi,
I just noticed that the list of available AVI codecs in the
Viewport
Capture dialogue has decreased to only four in v5.0, which
are all not
suitable for my needs. Starting XSI 4.2, I get the complete list of
all codecs installed on the machine, so it doesn't seem to be a
Windows-related problem. Anyone else experience something similar?
Running XSI 64bit, btw...
Cheers!
