Ok, that's a good one. So far I have been under the impression that
Microsoft *did* rewrite *all* Windows components for the 64bit version.
However, XSI indeed is the only native 64bit application I'm running on
this system, so I can't cross-check. What do other 64bit users
experience here?

I don't think so. We're talking about codecs that come along with the
default Windows installation, like the Cinepak one. That stuff is
accessable and usable through other software, it looks like XSI is
sorting them out for some strange reason...
