Hi Bernard,
Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you.
I am curious to hear how you heard about a 64 bit build of ActivePython forWindows. Can you share this?
There is the possibility of a 64 bit build of ActivePython for Windowsthrough ActivePython Enterprise Edition.
ActivePython Enterprise Edition is our guaranteed quality distribution ofActivePython that is fully supported through a yearly service subscription. Each agreement is uniquely configured with your choice of platforms andbuilds, delivered quarterly on CD.Our Enterprise Edition customers receive:
+ Technical support – Access to technical support via telephone and emailfrom ActiveState's senior developers with guaranteed response times.
+ Guaranteed binaries - Guaranteed quality binaries provided on quarterlyCD's eliminates the need for developers to build and maintain their ownversions of Perl, Python or Tcl. This allows developers to concentrate onthe unique aspects of their applications rather than supporting andmaintaining the dynamic language being used.
+ Standardization - Using one version of your dynamic language of choicethroughout your organization regardless of platform, ensures crossfunctionality and provides a solid foundation on which to build scripts andapplications. Our CD's provided quarterly offer a manageable method ofdeploying a standardized version throughout your organization.
+ Expertise - ActiveState's foremost experts are accessible for adviceregarding builds, modules and general usage.
+ Professional Services - Our developers are available for customdevelopment of code based on mutually agreed upon statements of work. Due tothe overwhelming number of requests for professional services they arereviewed and quoted on a case-by-case basis determined by the scope andnature of the project. Please note that not all requests for professionalservices are accepted.
Pricing is based on platform and platform version, I have given an examplebelow. Please note that Enterprise Edition Customers also receive adiscounted rate for an OEM license.
ActivePython Enterprise Edition Base Price $11,000Windows 64 Bit Support $4,000Service Subscription total for one year $15,000
Please note ActivePython Enterprise Edition for 64 Bit Windows:Is only available on builds that are ActivePython 2.4 or later.Does not come with PyWin32
I hope this answers your immediate questions.
If I can be of further assistance please let me know.
Thanks Bernard.
Cheers,
Corey

That's all nice for "entreprise" size studios that do a lot of stuffin Python, but for many of us where the ActiveX Python is used onlybecause XSI requires it........ well, I'm out for my daily maple creamsugar chunk.
