1) Use show animated curves instead of show selected curves in the
view preferences?

2) The editor keys have been synched with the viewports - use x as the
inverse of s. It takes a bit of getting used to but its like any
habit, and you'll soon get to appreciate not having to switch keys in
diff editors :)
