Allow me to throw my two cents. See [Bernard] below.

[Bernard] Why not having the InstanceGroup built-in models?

> -> Suggestion: Allow drag&drop of Models onto InstanceGroups ?
[Bernard] On related note, I would like any of these features to work
with referenced models.

Right now, if you instantiate a referenced model, it creates an
InstanceGroupo under the model, and it works. But if the InstanceGroup
already exists and you try to add instances to it, the access is
refused. This is a rather annoying short-coming, because it forces us
to instantiate the reference model instead of simply switching
sources.

Also don't forget that we still need a built-in way to "expand" an
instance into a full model with objects.

Oh and lastly, why don't we simply have a "ModelType" property of
every model, whose value specify if we are dealing with an instance, a
local model, or a reference model? Or better yet, have these three
objects have their own Type?

Cheers
Bernard
