have you tried looking under the sources in the mixer - maybe you can delete the caches there??

I ran into this problem a while back. It went away somewhow but I don?t remember how.

Have you tried hitting the ?reload? button in the cache ppg and then hit play to see?

On a similar topic, I?m surprised there isn?t a ?clear internal cache? button. Perhaps just deleting the environment deletes the cache as well?

I know cach to mixer desactive the simulation and it is handy I think. But in my case, simulation is active, so I don't understand...

With rigid body, the simulation cache storage is internal (by default). I tried external storage but it doesn't help. If I delete the external cache et re-run the simulation (with cache on) this cache file isn't re-create !!!

There is a check mark in the RBD PPG that gets unckecked automatically when you write the cache to the mixer, I do not have XSI open right now, rendering on my machine, but it is fairly obvious and in the same area where you write the cache to the mixer.. Check this back on, and everything starts to simulate again!

Subject: Simulation : Cache problem

Hi list, me again :-p

I've got some problems with a simulation in XSI 5.0.

I made an object explosion with dynamics. There is only two forces (gravity and animated wind to blow fragments away).
500 rigid bodies objects are so fast too simulate now :-) !

I tweaked the simulation with "caching" checked and then check "lock cache" when the simulation looks good.

The problem : I must re-edit this simulation. I disable "lock cache" but there is no change in the simulation if I tweak forces. So I also disable "caching" , and no change too.
So I switch between standard/live/interactive mode and it doesn't works... So I delete all the forces, add some new one , but the rigid bodies don't work anymore !
Of course on simple test with a few cubes everthing works fine (cache off/on, switching between play mode etc...)

I'm pulling my haire with this little simulation !!!

Any advice on simulation in 5 ?
