Hi byron
Do you have the original Lightwave scene just
before you created the fbx file ?
The process from LW to Motion Builder is normally
very straightforward and very reliable.
What’s your goal ? get a LW scene
into XSI ?

Lightwave weirdness
So I
tried to export the scene out of Deep Exploration but I can't get XSI to take
the .xsi files. Are there any tricks on the Lightwave end when exporting
animation to FBX? I'm beating my head against the wall here, getting data in and
out can be a real pain sometimes.

So, do I need to change
what the FBX file gives me as far as rotation?

Lightwave uses heading,
pitch and bank; in that order. Which is the equivalent to Y,X and then Z.
Someone sent me a
FBX file that has some camera animation in it. It seems to be importing the
animation, I'm getting curves on Translation and Rotation, but It doesn't seem
to be correct. Does Lightwave use a different setup for XYZ? Do I need to swap
the animation around with X,Y, & Z or what?
