so, once again, the silent install is driving me nuts. I thought I had one working, and then I get this:-

 

WARNING : The setup type specified in your profile (  ) is invalid. The choices available for SOFTIMAGE«|XSI« 5.0 are the following:
 -  Typical Install
 -  Custom install
 -  Render Slave.

So I check the profile and the type is:-

 

[Setup]
Type=Typical Install

 

So I figure, what the hell, let's let the installer generate one for me, which I do, and it still gives me the same error.

 

This remote install *always* drives me up the wall, *always* takes forever to set up and *never* works next time you come visit. It never tells you if anything is going wrong, and even when it does it's not useful. 10 minute job, .. moan ... takes forever, mumble .... grumble ...

 

Anyone have even the remotest clue why that's wrong?
