the automatic .map render option is the only one that will generate pyramidal filtering maps.   It simply launches the command-line utility  "imf_copy -p" to do the conversion

As far as I know, the conversion in "dotmap" in the render preference or a rendermap/lightmap give a file with pyramidal filtering. Flipbook and Image Viewer don't.

hi everyone .

We can render or rendermap ( or lightmap ) in directly .map format.
My question is how xsi generate these file ? I mean does it include
pyramidal filtering ? Or do I need to use imf_copy to convert them with
pyramidal filteringactivated ?
By the way is there any method to know how are .map encoded ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks you.

Harry.
