OK. You could use a simple script that gets the bounding
box, if it's a planar projection, otherwise it's kind of hard because the UVs
are normalised.

I usually start off with a black image with the size and
proportions I want and use that to make the stamp. That way you get to see the
stamp lines and it's easy to pull them out into a photoshop layer.

Subject: Stamping UV ´s
How do I get the right
proportions on a stamped UV? If I have a
rectangel polymesh in say 11:5 aspect I want my
stamp to be in that aspect aswell
so that I can make a texture that has the right
proportions i. e I have a texture with a
circle pattern and they come out elliptical. At the
moment I get a stamp
thats 1:1 because the default icon texture is 1:1. Do I really have
to meassure the mesh by hand
and use that for the texture?
