the scriptlog is the log of all commands you use while working, as a script.
So you can execute that to recreate (all) the work you did.
theres a preference to restrict the number of lines, you can make this to
unlimited
this file is automatically overwritten when opening XSI, so in case of a
crash
you need to rename or copypaste into a text file, before launching XSI.
since you restarted yours was no good anymore, sorry.
its a bit stupid that it works this way, it should at least backup 1 version
When you use this, some caution is advisable:
- some stuff is not or partly logged, you wont be able to recreate it this
way.
- allways look for the most recent save scene command.
delete all lines before this, open the scene and work from there.
if you cant find it, chances are you had a limited number of lines,
so you probably miss a part.
- you should not run any save, export, render ... commands from this script,
as they can ruin data you had previously saved.
best practice is to go a few lines at a time, read them to quickly know
what they do...
...
All this aside its a real lifesaver...
