when this happens, change your preview options to use the render regiion options
launch the preview, close it, change again to use current pass settings
and now will use your pass options.
Well faster than restarting XSI

Stefan,
I'm not sure if you're talking about 5.0, but I've had this behaviour as well in 4.2. It seems FG and GI will not play nice when switching passes and using the renderregion for preview. Restarting XSI will fix it, so it seems MR keeps a "lock" somewhere on FG/GI...

Hi All,
I'm getting this unwanted behavior when using the render preview option. If I switch passes XSI sometimes keeps a "few things" from the previous pass. The reason I use render preview is to see everything with the current pass settings (which render region doesn't follow)
ex: I tweak my rgb pass that has FG in it, do a few renders. I then switch to my depth pass which has a material override to make all objects constant black and a fog in the volume options. This pass has no FG, but it still calculates FG?? If I save and restart XSI it renders as it should.
Anyone else seen this behavior? It's difficult to repro but it happens now and then.
regards stefan andersson
