Having uninstalled 2.2 and 2.4 and then reinstalling 2.4 everything now
works - hurrah.

Python 2.2 didn't have the math.degrees() method. It appeared in Python 
2.3.
And no, I don't know how to tell XSi to use a specific version. However,
