Thanks for sending your how-to-make-maya-better suggestion to this list, though ;-)

lol.

Hi Luc-Eric,

it´s proven quite often a good idea to peek over to the other side of the fence.

I don´t want to religiously promote *.rpf/*.rla as the killer format changing the
21st century into the age of prosper and health. I´m just looking at techniques to
streamline things. From my POV, not looking down from the turret but fighting
it up hill...

Basically, I´m sure I´ll enjoy anythings that adds interchangeability to my toolset.
Like having a stick to strap my flintstone onto. Makes animating it swiftly more fun.
Same applies to transfering animation data, Maya doesn´t do too well in baking
layered animation data including set driven keys and hierarchies into worldposition
keyframedata of the lowest child in the chain. Makes things difficult to import into
XSI, then. More difficult then neccessary. Simply because if I can get more done
in the same amount of time (with less flaws) I can spend more time with something
else - earn more, work less, whatever. So, o.k. I was dreaming of finally having a life.

Cheers

tim

P.S: I´ve been sticking to *.pic ever since I learned Softimage 3.8 at school,
even thought I hadn´t touched XSI up until now. You can call me a buddy for life...
