In the explorer: View -> General Sort -> None (creation). 
Followed by: View -> Reorder Tool

Re-order objects to your liking. 

We generally list things now in alphabetical order in menus because an overwhelming majority of users complained that they couldn't find their passes (and clips etc) in a reasonable time when they were arranged in a seemingly random fashion. Looks like Kris is the odd one out.
