Half,
I've been bit lost with Reorder Tool sometimes working sometimes not but came to conclusion it shouldn't work with passes at least. Well I was wrong. I don't work with passes in linux. Objects do move fine.

Re-order objects to your liking.

We generally list things now in alphabetical order in menus because an overwhelming majority of users complained that they couldn't find their passes (and clips etc) in a reasonable time when they were arranged in a seemingly random fashion. Looks like Kris is the odd one out.

Would like to see this for every aspect of the explorer not
just passes.
Was setting up a scene the other day and wanted certian
objects arranged
close to eachother for easy access. Admittedly I could group them
together but that doesnt completely solve the problem and I'm not sure
how wise that is just to be able have a selection group when
all I want
is three or four objects close together in the explorer. Further you
can't group passes so that doesnt address that issue either.
Basically I
want to put whatever object wherever I want it in the
explorer, whatever
mode. However, would love to have this as a preference
option, as there
are cases when the alpha-numeric ordering comes in handy.

Patiently waiting for Christmas....
