Unless I'm completely mistaken, I don't think the amount of memory has
anything to do with performance in regards to wireframe / shaded
playback and update.
You'll only get a better performance depending on the GPU on the card.
More memory will only make a difference if there's textures involved in
playback and update. Rotoscope is not even affected since it all goes in
your RAM anyway.
So if you are mainly doing play backs, orbits, pulling points, deforming
stuff, etc... in wireframe / shaded mode, it won't make much of a
difference (if any at all) if you have a 64mb or 512mb card - besides
making a hole in your wallet.
