If you happen to have Lightwave and PointOvenPro (www.ef9.com), you can bake an .obj sequence in Lightwave to a .mdd file (point level deformation file) and load that with PO onto your original cloth object in XSI.
Writing out .mdd files from your Cloth simulator could be a good idea anyway, since it is used a lot in the meantime since so many people have PointOven running.
.mdd is documented in the LW SDK I think and is pretty straight forward and simple:

At the moment, i have a vbscript that loads in the cloth's coordinates for a specific frame, i just need to somehow combine that with a scripted operator.
