on the cage weights cluster you should find a generator with strength and falloff adjustments.
if you are caging to lots of small objects rather than one large one, you can try caging individual clusters to different groups of target objects to keep armpits and jaws separated.
You can also use an intermediate layer of caged objects to get more control.

Hello all,
I am still testing caging in XSI 5.0, but have found the cage deformer to
be limited, as when I try to setup a full body cage, parts of the cage
deform/affect geometry which I would like to keep seperate.
(Eg The arm area affects the side of the torso).
I've model my character in a daVinci star pose (which is pretty standard),
so I was wondering ! if anyone if there is any way to control distance, or
influence sphere for the cage deformer (because I couldn't find one).
Alternatively, has anyone succesfully cage deform a character using gator
(and keeping the operator live) ?
Is there more fine tweak controls in using Gator ?
