Slowliness in the Texture Editor

Subject : Slowliness in the Texture Editor

Anyone has any tips on accelerating the Texture Editor ? I have a polymesh with 187K triangles and going in the TE and making some tweaks is really, I mean really, slow… Not workable kind of slow.
