Hi Luc-Eric,

how would you prefer to get suggestions or critics delivered?

Having a Maya backround (not neccessarily a Maya reputation)
on the highend3d lists myself and after having becoming used to
log feature requests, I find it more and more helpful to ask in a
forum first. Be it just to verify I don´t miss something obvious.

Even if this brings quite a bit of noise and may initially result in
either stirring up confusion or losing that last bit of self-respect
desperately needed sometimes...

To get serious, hands down, I find some of the modeling tools
in XSI less than optimal while other workflows implemented
are far superior to Maya. How should I best describe my
desires so you guys can make good use of it?

Cheers

tim

I don't necessarily think a "wish list" thread on xsibase is where all the suggestions should be sent to... Anonymous posters, no background information, long lists of items without context... (not even discussion). The longer the thread gets, the more likely everything is ignored as whole. It's not useless, but it's much easier to work with actual clients that go through support, or sales, so a discussion can take place. The only thing that really irritates me is multiple thread when the same person keeps slamming the same things over and over, or long threads that result from posters slamming down another suggestion, defensivly. Not everyone works the same way or has the same background, or has accepted some XSI way of doing things. One reply to a suggestion is fine, after that it doesn't really make a feature more or less important - it's just noise.

I believe there is an XSI 5.5 wishlist on XSIbase. Please
post your requests
there but before posting please consider what you are asking.
DF5= $4995
Shake4=$2999
AE7=$999
....and you want a full blown animation package with a
license of mental ray
AND a compositor for $495 bucks? You have GOT to be kidding
right? With that
single request I think half the kittens on this planet just died.
