and many of these 'requests' are needless... softimage already has and ability mentioned as a 'wish'. but i agree moderation turning it into another 'dynamics implementation paper' brad got together... proper discussion to let people know that some ability is already present in the software so actual requests can heard...

right, it's best if people work out their idea with other users, and then officially make a request through the channels. afaik the thread in question on xsibase doesn't do either.

There are also times when some folks are unsure of their own technique or want to flesh out request ideas before submitting officially. That's where the wishlist and mailing list threads are useful, which ultimately ends up being what we're already all doing. (And all the poor widdle kittens...)

It's kinda like when George Carlin was talking about the concept of the "Rain Dance". Obviously, you'd have to practice, but then it would have to rain as a result so you'd know you got it right, except that if it rains because of practice then you wouldn't have to call for the real Rain Dance in the first place, so whenever you needed it to rain, you'd just call for practice.

My brain hurts.

Not that I have anything against the grass roots movement

stuff, but I

thought stuff like this is what the support request form

is for. At the

very least you get a response back that someone's recieved

it and that

your voice has been heard and your request is in their database and
prioritized accordingly.

xsibase is where all the suggestions should be sent to... Anonymous posters, no background information, long lists of items without context... (not even discussion). The longer the thread gets, the more likely everything is ignored as whole.
