Thanks Biju, I will check that out.

Cheers!

Hello Marc:

May be check your image filename and the image format you selected - are
they both same. If your image file name has period(.) in the end it
will add an extension for the image format you choose. Please make sure
that you don't have a period(".") in the end.

Hope this helps

Thanks

biju

So, any idea on what I can do to fix this? I am testing a few more
scenes and I am still getting that same line 175 error. Thought it seems
to happen on large-ish scenes. Smaller scenes seem to be OK.

Thanks

I've long since forgotten which code is mine and which code is Soft's,
but most if not all of these types of errors are in the file
XSI_NT_Client.vbs that gets run inside XSI and handles most of the
control flow. There are some functions in there that are supposed to
double-check to verify whether frames were actually rendered. Sometimes
they mess up. In particular, yesterday I had a little test scene where
the extension of the file in the output options looked like
"default_render.###.pic" and the file type was set to sgi. This was
causing a problem where the double-checking function was actually
checking for "default_render.###.pic.sgi", but the files getting
rendered were just "default_render.###.sgi". What's especially dumb is
that it obviously knows the right frame name because it reports it when
it reports that the frame failed to render. The 3 frame thing is just
because after 3 errors, BatchServe ditches out of XSI and marks the
frame it was trying to render as an error. So I think it's probably the
same problem. The line 175 error looks like a database error.

This sort of thing is exactly why an open source render manager where
people can commit their bug fixes makes a lot of sense.
