Shake is great for this, something like this from the command line


shake -fi input.(at).pic -t 1-20 -addtext "%T"  -fo output.(at).pic

Obviously you will want to put the text on a corner and all that, if you
don't like the idea of having a very long command, just build up your
macro and that is it.

Remember also that you can call environment variables from inside Shake
so makes your life really really easy.
