Adrian.. a better way of going about this is to Save Keys using Keyable Paramaters..
Got to File Preferences > Animation .. and look for a Save Key COmmand Line pulldown menu.. Switch it to Save Key using Keyable Paramaters..

Then start by selecting your objects and go to view > Animation > Keyable Parameters editor... In the right column select the paramaters you don't wish to be keyed for that object, and then click the remove button to remove it from the keying list ( select the names of the params, not the checkboxes)

You can do this for multiple objects with a multi Selection if they share the same params you want to key..

Then, its just a matter of selecting said objects and hitting 'k' when you want to keyframe..

Take it a step further and select all your objects... hit 'k' to key and look at the command that was logged to the script editors history..

you should see something like SaveKeyOnKeyabale "sphere, cube, torus" , 1 witht eh one being the frame you re currently at.

If you get rid of the ,1 at the end of the line you can drag and drop the entire line of script onto a toolbar to make a quick keying button..

When dragging the script onto a ttolbar, you can choose a script command instead of a script button if you wish to be able to assign your button to a hotkey.

This is definitely a better way to go about keying objects in XSI.. quicker and more efficient.. If you ever change the parameters that are to be keyed on an object, your script will still work.

You can still use marked parameters for storing actions, as there is no Store > Keyable params option, I think there is a script out there (xsibase perhaps) that converts keyable params to marking sets, or vice versa..

Hope this helps

Adam
