Zonealarm, over the last year or so, has turned into the devil's spawn. It
arbitrarily  blocks applications without warning or notification by just
hanging them - xsi and all it's utilities for one -  and they have to be
whitelisted by hand. It takes forever to get going when you boot and it
arbitrarily kicks off virus scans at times other than the scheduled at a CPU
priority so high it totally blocks all computer use, with an access
permission that won't even let an administrator kill it. In the end I got
fed up with rebooting my laptop by pulling the power supply out and went for
something less bloated. Their support sucks too.
