Yup,
as far as I understand. You can start with a small image & then scale it up
to the right size in the FxTree if you like. Very flexeeble realtime fun with
filters, layering etc.

-----Original Message-----OK, I get it now. I was trying to generate something from scratch with a vector paint or paint node. So you always need an image from file to start with right?

Now you have a FromClip & ToClip which you can get between. e.g. put a gradient node or filter between the two fxtree nodes & get realime feedback on the textured object.I've found it very useful for altering things like emssion maps for particles, hair etc. I was using the wipes with noise for basic waves with the push op recently, all good fun. There's a whole chunk of fiddling to do in the Transition->SMPTEWipe node.A.-----Original Message-----I've seen people take something they have made in the FXTree and use it as a live texture map the in the scene. Can someone please direct me to a tutotial or something on how this is done? I've been looking through the manuals and online but haven't come up with anything yet.
